Eternal Summer Eps 10-13 Review!:D With Apologies

Hey guys!

Right first off I just want to apologize for my lack of activity over the last few months.

I was finishing a placement for Nursing and then started back at University and so every now on top of all that I'm moving house so things are a bit full on!

Sorry for the let down!



I'm going to try and be more active over the next few months as I will be at home rather than University so hopefully I'll organize some contests or what-have-you (but internet might take a little while to set up).

I'll also start off my activity by saying that there has been a little reshuffle of the admin so just have a refresh if you'd like.

Also I wanted to thank ALL who have joined us over the last couple of months or so! I hope you all enjoyed eternal summer and are with me in praying (or equivalent) that there will be a 3rd season!

I have also heard a rumor that an English dubbed version might be underway so i'll see if I can do some digging of that.

I have also finished off the reviews of the episodes I missed (read below and i'm so sorry for the long wait) and will be updating the front page!

And yeah will hopefully announce a contest at some point too!

Eternal Summer! Episode 10

So if what I can remember there wasn't that much RinHaru content in that episode. It was mainly a find out what is going on with Sosuke and let him sort his stuff out with Rin and team Samezuka's help kinda episode, which to be honest I actually really enjoyed.

Poor sick wittle Rin was the cutest!



And they had such a heartfelt few minuets!




But anyway the tiny RinHaru bits in there were ...

Well I suppose the mere fact that Haru was eavesdropping on Sosuke and Rin's conversation was clear that he was very much interested in what was going on with those too. Not so much for jealous reasons but he simply was curious, he wanted to work out what Sosuke's deal was so to better understand Rin and Sosuke's relationship.



Then obviously the relay happens Sosuke pushing himself to the limit one last time, he get's to see Rin light (it's usually Rin seeing Haru's) and then last leg depends on Haru and Rin of course and once again we get an epic freestyle race ...



where Rin and Haru are just NECK IN NECK BUT … THIS TIME HARU WINS!

I loved the animation they showed for that with the whole electric charging thing when they clashed.



But as a side I was reading littlecloudcuriosity's review littlecloudcuriosity.com/2014/… and I totally agree that It must have been very hard for the writers to choose between Rin and Haru taking into account character roles, story line AND fan/audience reception.

But then again it the episode's were leading to Iwatobi being able to win the race, and so even thought I'm a die hard Samezuka fan and I really wanted them to win (for Momo and Nitori's sake too) it was right I think for the story line for Iwatobi to win!

So what can I say ... MakoHaru went for it in this episode! I personally love the whole angsty MakoHaru!

I was enjoying myself so much I almost forgot to wonder if any RinHaru was going to happen and then ...

Or should just be really called

HARURINRAILIA

What can I say ... I waited and was waiting and waiting and finally my wishes (or should I say all our wishes) had come true... it was a whole episode of RinHaru!!!

BEST ENDING CARD EVERRRRRRRR!!!





For this episode review I'm not going to write too much.

All I will say is that I'm so glad Rin thought of taking Haru to Aussie land! It was good for Haru to see what Rin did all those years, with his boarding parents.

I thought it was a good way for Haru and Rin to get some closure from the various whole Middle School/High School problems thing, they understand where each other was coming from but also it was a great way for Haru to work out his dream I thought it was very significant that as Haru and his friends helped Rin to find his dream/reaffirm it, Rin and the others helped Haru to find one too!!!

So because of this glorious episode I'm just going to bombard you with tonnes and tonnes of gifs and images (not necessarily in the right order but I will try!)

Oh and a big shout out must go to awesome Russell and the lovely lady Lori making Rin feel at home again and also taking the time to speak slowly for Haru so that he understands and communicates as best he can!

Eternal Summer! Episode 13

Well that was the finally episode and I have to say I think it summed up the season quite nicely.

Personally I was pretty much done from the previous episode! That would have finished the series quite nicely for me but i'm glad they came back to it.

It was good to see them all consolidating the time they spent together on both team Iwatobi and Samezuka.

I was hard to see how emotional Rei and Nagisa got but then later it was good to see how themselves had become great Senpais with Gou's help of course.



The animation of the Relay was amazing, each member swimming with one of the other member's spirit animal.

Then also it was nice to see that Sosuke was happy in himself.

It was nice to see that Makoto and Haru went to the same place, Tokyo but more importantly Rin and Haru are competing at an international level!!!





OH and the Sakura pool ... genius!



As was the same like last season, then ending music/song was good. It was all very emotional I just wanted it to contunue!!!
